            Loss of a Legend

Halebank Football Club is deeply sad to announce the loss off one of our senior members Derek Whitley. Derek was a key Life member and treasurer of our club for over 40years and one of our founding fathers.

We extend our deepest sympathy and heart felt condolences to Derek's family and friends. You are all in our thoughts!. He will be missed.

A montage of Derek's time with the club from team pictures, Presentations and Warrington Premier Division winning nights, Derek was a very important member of our club. When we were in need Derek always had the answer, his network of friends and business contacts meant he always had a solution to the clubs needs.

It is impossible to put into words what this man meant to Halebank FC ! or what Halebank FC meant to him, a true legend

AGM

In what was a open and slightly vocal meeting, we have kept the status quo, Officers and Committee members reinstated, team managers reinstated all unopposed. The members discussed many topics the one with biggest input being the Direct debit subs payment system the club are asking players to take up.

Though it is cheaper for the players, it is also better for the club.

Training

Why not come along to training at The Playing Field, Blackburn Avenue  : Wednesday 6:30pm  and Saturday  12:00pm - 13:30 hrs you are very welcome!

CONGRATULATIONS TONY !!!

tonynolan2.jpg

Congratulations to Tony Nolan for being awarded the Hallmark Cheshire League Manager of the month for May. It is a well deserved award as with the massive backlog of fixtures 7 league games in a month we won 6 of them.

Superb finish to a somewhat frustrating season due to the weather. Terrific effort from all involved Tony, Jamie Unwin, Billy Knowles and all of the squad involved in the final run in of fixtures that climaxed with that 14-1 win in the last game..

Halebank FC with Warrington Premier League Trophy from 2014-15, Guardian Cup winners 2015-16 and Widnes Cup winners 2016.

What a fantastic haul of silverware.

Halebank snatch 2nd spot from Warrington on goals

What an end to the season 14 -1 win takes the runners up spot from Warrington town. Halebank lead 0-2 at the break so it was an avalanche of goals in the second period. Very satisfying for Tony Nolan and his charges who had a very hard end to the season but came out of it very well.

yes it does say fourteen, when we needed a 10 goal advantage to snatch 2nd place, we win by 13, crowning another super season
