Sept 2009
Hello and welcome to
our website. This term we have entered our first team in the Liverpool Premier League, a big change and also a
big step up in standard for us. Things had been a little stale in the Warrington & District League for us over the
last couple of seasons, with more local Derby games in Widnes than anyone would choose. So we have been very
positive and made the switch to the LPL. We have been placed in the Division 2 south section and are looking forward to the
challenge with John Anderton once again at the helm. Last term was a little disappointing for us, as a third in the Warrington
Premier in our final season was not how we would have chosen to leave. Our Reserves will continue in the Warrington Section
2, Dave Giles remains in charge of a very young squad this term and is aided by Jamie Unwin. In this tough time of the
Credit Crunch, we have been well supported by our loyal sponsors. Good luck to both our sides this term. Access
Interiors are the new first team sponsors PSP Snacks continue as Reserves Sponsors The Goldmine continue as
our base and sponsors, A massive thanks to all these for their continued support, as we could not survive without
them. Hope to see you at the Playing Field in the near future, so come on and support us, check out the refurbished facilities.
I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
November 2008
Just a short update
on the clubs 40th year.
As you will see on
the website, our 40th Anniversary party was a massive success with over 300 revellers attending.
It was a thrill for
myself and the other members of the club to see so many players and supporters from our past and present joining
in with our celebrations.
A great start to our
Ruby Anniversary.. then in October we saw Phase 1 of the Hard Standing around our pitch completed. This is the fruition of
the "Buy a Flag" project that saw so many locals and supporters, sponsor the purchase of the flags used in the hardstanding.
This allows spectators
to watch our games what ever the weather or under foot conditions may be. A further step in our aim to provide the best
facilities in the area and ensure the continued improvement of our club.
Our intention with
Phase 2 is to continue with the hard standing at the Clapgate Crescent end as soon a possible.
More news from me
in the New Year !!

July 2008
Welcome to the new
and improved Halebank FC website,
In this our 40th
year Halebank would like you to help us celebrate our Ruby anniversary, there is to be a 40th Birthday celebration
on the 13th September at the Stobart stadium Widnes ( the home of The Widnes Vikings ) All are welcome..
It is a chance for
all our past and present members and supporters to come along and join in the celebrations. If you would like to join us please
contact our Secretary Bob Whitley, see contacts page for number.
We so nearly enjoyed
a dream start to our 40th year with our firsts just failing to win the Warrington Premier League and the Jubilee
Trophy, but it was a very good season to be so close on two fronts. It does bode well for the forthcoming season though.
We also played in
a very successful Charity match against Hale Village on the
Hale Carnival day and with the help of Hale FC and the Hale Carnival committee raised £855 for the Charity Headway. This very worthy Charity was nominated by Mel and Ann Corn. It is hoped to make this an annual fixture
and as the winners we still hold the Alan Corn Trophy.
Once again I must
thank the residents of Halebank for their very generous sponsorship, our buy a flag for the pitch hard standing was an outstanding
success with all flags sold.
We should see work
commence on the hard standing in the autumn, so thanks to everyone who helped with this project.
John Anderton continues
at the helm of the First team and we are delighted to welcome back to the club, Dave Giles who is in charge of the Reserves.
As always we wish
both teams well and hope for a very successful 40th season.

A very warm welcome to all visitors the
Halebank FC website, I am pretty sure
you will find something of interest on
our site. If you are a member past or present,
a local or ex Halebanker or just a random
visitor, we have loads of pictures,
topics of interest for you to browse.
You can scroll through our history with
its many team photographs, honours list,
managers, officials. Anything to do with
our club is in there. You mayeven find a
picture of yourself if you are a player
from the past.
You will be aware of our steady progress
over the last few years and we haven’t
finished yet, there are still a few items
on our improvement list. The major
Improvement planned is a hard standing
around the pitch. This is being funded by a
“Buy A Flag” scheme and hopefully
the materials for the full perimeter can be
purchased through the Scheme. The scheme
gives anyone the chance to sponsor
the club, by buying a flag for only £2.
If you are interested in helping out
with this project contact a club member,
Look at the Hollyoaks charity match held
in July 2006, there are some great pictures.
Then the Halebank FC Crest competition,
where the local primary school came up
with the design of the badge after months
of research.
If you are a sponsor or would be interested
in sponsorship, look at our sponsorship
section.
You can even send your comments on our
site to us.
We are pleased you logged on our site
and hope you enjoy your visit, so why
not come down to the Playing Field ground
next season, it would be great to see you
and you will be made most welcome.
July 2006
Hello and thanks to everyone looking in on our website,
It’s a few months since I last wrote to you all, but it has been a very busy time in the club.
Both our sides finished another hectic season, the first team were unable to match last seasons heady
heights and finished fourth in the Premier Division and the Reserves consolidated their position in Div 2 of the new league
set up.
A big thanks goes out to Dave Giles and Jamie Unwin who both announced they were standing down as Res
Managers, but the good news is they are both remaining in the club and will continue with the good work.,
The new team is Ian Billington and Nick McKay, we wish them the best of luck, Its nice to see we are
once again able to fill these very important roles from within the club.
John Anderton continues at the helm and hopefully with the steady progress of the First team.
The clubs ambitions are set very high and new funding is one of the main priorities if we are to progress
as we would like.
We have seen the improvements continue at the Playing Field, with the dressing Rooms now enclosed with
a new fence thanks to an Area panel grant, very important to the integrity of the building.
On Sunday 30th July playing a very high profile Charity match against the TV show Hollyoaks
cast and crew. This is in aid of the Harry Whitley fund and Alder Hey Hospital.
Hollyoaks are a team of some re known on the charity circuit and play most game at venues more like
the Halton Stadium than at the Playing Field. They regularly attract crowds of up to 5,000 and play against many Semi pro
and other celebrity teams, so it is a great honour that they have chosen to take part in our charity game.
If you can please come along and give generously, our collection buckets will be in key places dotted
around the Playing Field. All the money collected at the match, ie donations, programme sales and Raffle will be going to
both our charities.
The Hollyoaks team, have generously donated their time and we are very grateful for their help.
Also a big thank you goes to all the sponsors, stewards and helpers for their efforts. The Halebank
Carnival Committee, The Time hoppers, Kings Cross project, Pickerings Pasture, the Widnes Referee’s Society and to Kerry
Rooney, but for her, the match would not be taking place.
We are in need of helpers/stewards on the day, so please if you can help, let us know by filling in
the contact form with your name and phone number.
A very big day and a very busy one for all involved ! We should though always keep foremost in our
minds it a money raising event for two of the worthiest charities around. So please give generously.
Have a look a www.harrysjourney.co.uk if you can, it’s a very good website.
If you cant make it on the day, you can make a donation to Halebank FC and we will make sure it goes
to both charities.
Hope to see you there

CHAIRMAN’S REPORT 30/11/05
Welcome to our website and the Chairman’s report .
I am Phil Sheridan Chairman of Halebank FC. I have held this position for 23 years and in that time
I have witnessed many changes in the life of this football club.
No bigger changes have I seen though, than in the last 4 years or so! Many of you reading this will
remember the football pitch on the Playing Field as more like a ploughed field than a playing area. Well this has improved so much it is now one of the senior playing area’s in the town. This is mainly
due to the control we have over fixtures and gradual improvements that have taken place over the years, including a drainage
system and our own grass mower/strimmer and maintenance.
One of the major improvements is the one pole fence that now encloses the pitch. Thanks to grants from the FA Football Stadia, Halton Borough Council Sports Development and Awards for
All scheme. We are also just completing the construction of dugouts with concrete bases, for both sides of the pitch. So we
now have a ground to be proud of and are delighted that a Guardian Cup semi final and Runcorn Sunday Cup final have been staged
at the Playing Field
We at Halebank have also been very successful in securing Sponsorship from our very generous supporters
over the years. We now display the sponsors advertisements around the pitch every
home game, as well as the senior sponsors logo’s on the playing kits.
Major refurbishment of the dressing rooms, also with grants from the same organisations, ensured we at Halebank were
the first club to fulfill the requirements of the Warrington and District Premier league criteria for changing facilities
and playing areas. The Referee’s room was the latest to be completed.
We have also seen improvements on the players side of things.
Now all players of Halebank are aided with purchasing club track suits, which are worn by all on match days, training
equipment is also available. We also have a Physiotherapist available for club members.
Our next major project is to erect a vandal proof fence around our changing facilities and this will
be completed very soon as the Halton Borough Area panel has sanctioned the funding.
This will allow us to store goal posts outside the changing rooms instead of the weekly chore of taking them into the
changing facility. We are also considering putting a hard standing around the
pitch to allow easy access around the pitch, for supporters to watch our games.
The club has invited the youngsters of the area at Halebank Junior School, in the design of a new club badge and the school head has agreed to involve the children in this,
We hope the Badge design will be completed for the start of 2006 season
So as you will agree our club is moving forward, but none of the above would have occurred if it was
not for the dynamic forward thinking members of the club and committee. We are very lucky to have such a strong group who
are prepared to support any project the club undertakes in many different ways
I will update the report in the future and if you haven’t been to our ground recently
why not come down on a match day and say hello. You will
be made very welcome!
Phil Sheridan
